Lisbon Lions

Lisbon Lions was the most successful Celtic team of all time. They were the only Celtic to win the European cup. They won it in 1967. They won the Quintuple in that year. They are one of three teams to win the Quintuple. The other teams were Barcelona and Inter Milan. The starting team was Ronnie Simpson, Jim Craig, Tommy Gemmel, Bobby Murdoch, Billy McNeill, John Clark, Jimmy Johnstone Stephen Chalmers, Willie Wallace, Bertie Auld and Bobby Lenox . The full team was born within 10 miles of Celtic Park. The same team lost the final in 1970 2-1 to Feyenoord. Their captain was Billy McNeill.
